Happy Martin Luther King Day Everyone! I know we celebrate it every year but this year is even more special because tomorrow we will be swearing in our first African American President. As an African American, Obama's win has reinforced in me the feeling that I can do anything I set my mind to.I also wanted to use this post to give attention to a great organization called BIDS (Black Interior Designer Showcase). BIDS is an organization dedicated to helping introduce our youth to careers in interior design and architecture. They have a number of great membership benefits and for students like me, membership is free. So thank you BIDS for inspiring and helping those in our industry who have ever had a dream.
