Pencils of Promise is a cause near and dear to my heart. I first learned about it through one of my oldest friends, Mimi Nguyen, who is a founding member of the organization. We even featured Pencils of Promise as our first Worthy Cause in the premier issue of High Gloss Magazine back in February. Last year, I spearheaded a Blogger Initiative to help raise funds for Pencils of Promise within the design blogging community. Most of you know that I am a former teacher and education is a cause that I remain passionate about. This year, Pencils of Promise is doing things on a larger scale and they’ve gotten Justin Bieber, a huge advocate of the organization involved in their latest effort, Schools4All which aims to provide a quality education to the most underserved children in the world.
“There are more than 75 million children without access to education, and together we can do something about it. Through our new Schools4All campaign, we're asking you to join the PoP movement that empowers lives around the world by building schools for children in need. It is by bringing together communities at home, that we can collectively impact communities abroad.” To find out how you can help and even have Justin Bieber perform at your children’s school, visit Schools4All.org.
