First of all, I’d like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for your incredible words of support and encouragement as we released the second issue of High Gloss Magazine yesterday! We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the issue. If you haven’t read it, please do check it out soon.
Today’s fabulous room comes from one of my favorite spreads in our new issue. Designed by Houston-based, Cathy Echols for a male client, the entire home is tailored and masculine with a touch of glamour. Quite frankly, it is one of my favorite homes that I’ve ever set foot in. I am particularly in love with the gorgeous dining room, which the shot above gives us a glimpse into.
{The hand-painted, kelly green David Hicks wallpaper provides the boldest use of color in the entire home. I love the bold quality it lends to the otherwise serene dining room. The beautiful chandelier is an antique purchased during a trip to Paris and the large scale adds the perfect amount of dramatic impact.}
{The glass table is a more modern component in the room. The slipcovered chairs are by John Saladino and the antler chairs were purchased from another Houston designer, J.Randall Powers. You may have noticed the incredible antiquities in the space. The bust in the photo above was purchased at Blackman Cruz in Los Angeles and the pair of sphinxes flanking the doorway into the kitchen were purchased in Paris. By the way, look closely at the door. Do you see the doorknobs? They’re hard to make out here, but one of my favorite features of this home is that it has lucite doorknobs throughout!}
Again, thank you so much for your incredible outpouring of love and support. It means the world to us. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I will be heading to Park City, Utah on Sunday morning for the Luxury Summit and will report back soon!
