French Blue and Company

I happened upon the website for French Blue and Company for the first time today and felt it was so great, I just had to pass it along. French Blue and Company is the brain child of two sisters in Los Angeles with a passion for design, who scour French and American flea markets, antique shops, and estate sales to bring their clients a variety of unique pieces.

Owner, Janet Solomon says: "We believe in simple, rare design. Our eye catches the small relics in nature to the large ruins of our past. We love the history of an old piece, the crisp contrast of adding something new, and sometimes a surprise of a sweet treat! We believe in bold shapes and color. Our selection of pieces are inspired with great respect from Dorothy Draper, who introduced Hollywood Regency, and today's premier Modern Glamour designer, Kelly Wearstler. We offer the first vintage finds of tomorrow's newest trends."

I was impressed by the variety of items available on the French Blue website, as well as the fact that their prices are quite reasonable. I find that so often, vintage and antique pieces even those that are very popular and readily available come with astronomical price tags. Needless to say, despite the fact that some of the furniture at French Blue is sold in its original state and could certainly use some TLC by its new owner, the prices are more than fair. There are so many wonderful things at French Blue, that it is certainly worth a visit!
